Alan    is         a          Chartered       Construction  Manager        (FCIOB) who     has      been    a          Member          of         the     Chartered Institute of Building for       more   than    40        years   and      who     was     appointed       a          Fellow in         2012.  He       is         also a Fellow of         the      Association    for       Project            Management (FAPM).

           Alan    has      worked           in         the      UK       and      Internationally          on        many   types   of         major  projects          including as Project Director of a          massive          mixed  use      development  in         Azerbaijan      valued at         $1.5bn.  He has managed many railway projects in the UK both on the mainline railway network and on Light Railways, as well as key roles on many types of residential, commercial and infrastructure proects.         

           Alan    has      worked           with    many   different         types   and      forms  of         contract          including        NEC,    JCT,      Design & Build,  FIDIC,  I           Chem  E          (Target            Cost) for procurement of major civil structural and building works. 

           Having worked           for       contractors,    clients and      consultants,   his       belief  is         that     collaborative  contracts        are      the most   productive      for       all        concerned.     He       also     believes          that     irrespective    of         what   the      contract says,    each    party   has      a          moral  duty    to         cooperate       in         order  to         solve   problems        expeditiously and complete        their    scope  of         work.
